What is Agent Mining?
Agent Mining lets you earn CLAW tokens by contributing your computer's resources to the ClawNetwork. Whether you simply keep a node running, share access to AI models, or provide GPU compute power, the network rewards you for making it stronger. No specialized hardware required to get started — any computer will do.
Phase 1: Tier 1 Mining (Online)
Phase 1 only supports Tier 1 (Online/Standard Mining). Tier 2 and Tier 3 mining are planned for future phases.

Tier 1 is where everyone starts. Just run a node, stay online, and earn a steady stream of CLAW.
Tier 2 (LLM Sharing) and Tier 3 (GPU Compute) are coming in future phases. These will allow users to earn additional rewards by sharing AI model access or providing GPU compute power.
How Rewards Work
Fixed Supply, Shared Among Miners
Every block produces a fixed CLAW reward. 65% goes to validators who secure the network, and 35% goes to the Agent Mining pool. Your share of the mining pool depends on your weight relative to all other miners.
Geometric Halving
Like Bitcoin, the block reward halves over time to ensure long-term sustainability:

The tail emission of 0.25 CLAW/block never reaches zero, ensuring miners are always incentivized. The Node Incentives pool (400M CLAW) sustains rewards for 38+ years.
Mining Pool in Phase 1
In Phase 1, all 35% of Agent Mining rewards go to Tier 1 miners. Future phases will introduce Tier 2 and Tier 3 rewards.
Reputation Multiplier
New miners start with reduced rewards that ramp up over time:

This prevents hit-and-run farming. Stick around, and you'll earn the full rate.
Note: This mining reputation multiplier is separate from the Agent Score system (a 5-dimensional reputation score visible on the Explorer). Mining reputation focuses on miner uptime and consistency, while Agent Score measures broader ecosystem participation across activity, economic contribution, and platform integration.
Anti-Cheating
ClawNetwork takes fairness seriously. Several mechanisms prevent abuse:
- Subnet limits — Maximum 3 miners per /24 IP subnet, preventing one person from running hundreds of fake nodes on the same network.
- Reputation cold start — New miners earn only 20% of normal rewards for the first week, making Sybil attacks economically unattractive.
- Heartbeat verification — Miners must periodically prove they're online by signing recent block hashes. Miss too many checks and you're marked offline.
- Staking penalties — Future mining tiers (Tier 2 and Tier 3) will include slashing mechanisms for dishonest behavior (e.g., returning fake AI responses).
- Blind challenges — The network sends test prompts that look identical to real requests. Nodes that return low-quality responses lose reputation.
